Maru Bihag is a new raga, created by mixing Bihag and Kalyan. It omits and in while all seven notes are used in . It uses both forms of of which is used both in aroh and avaroh. is used in aroh as and it is not used in any other phrase/manner. The rest of the notes are shuddha. This raga has the structure of Bihag in aroh and Kalyan in avaroh. Kalyan is more prominent and the use of shuddha is limited, but to be used. If shuddha is not used, then it is called Marg Bihag.
