Charukeshi is adopted from Carnatic music. It can’t be grouped under any of the existing thaats and hence considered as a raga of mixed thaats. It is a unique raga with phrases from many other ragas, yet forming its own unique presence. It uses all seven notes. Only and are notes. Though its usual timing is late morning, some present it in the evening or night too.
