Bibhas is one of the morning ragas. It omits and . All the notes are except and . Most of its phrases will be from upper octave thus making it an raga. Bibhas of Bhairav is widely presented. Some artists/lineages use shuddha instead of (such variation is sometimes referred to as Shudh Dhaivat Bibhas). There are a couple more variants of Bibhas, called Marwa thaat Bibhas and Poorvi thaat Bibhas, which are very rarely heard.
